The Experimenter is a bath bomb from Lush. It was released last year(2015) along with the new store in London, on Oxford Street. At first it was just exclusive to Oxford Street, but now its available in every Lush store around the world (I think). I went there and saw it but didn't have enough money left to buy it! Plus I didn't really like the smell back then -I thought it smelt of cardboard and wood which wasn't very appealing but I think you have to give products a chance in Lush, because they can smell different in the shop around other products than at home -The smell of lush shops can be overpowering with lots of different smells going on.
This bath bomb isn't exactly womanly or manly, it's for everyone -although any bath bomb can be used by anyone, you know what I am trying to say. I like this bath bomb because it looks different to all the others. It's design was well thought out and they did a good job with it!
Vetivert Oil Fair Trade Vanilla Abolute Tonka Absolute
It smelt of Parma Violet sweets crossed with Love Heart sweets. So COMPLETELY different to what I imagined it would smell like when I ordered it. It smelt WAY better in the bath too. It's in A hexagonal shape and one side is half pink, half blue and the other side is half gold half white. Then in the middle it has purple going all around. Inside it's a whole other world! Wait and see!
It put on a really good show! As soon as it hit the water it burst into loads of colors straight away and fizzed away. It was the perfect dissolving speed -It wasn't too fast/slow and it went slower towards the end. The colors stayed on-top of the surface until I mixed it all up too!
Parts of the bath were full with different colors and popping candy everywhere, then the other side of the bath, there was pastel colors, which I just LOVED! There was a rainbow pattern (like you can see here -which naturally formed) swirling through it so I decided to have some fun with it and make some bath art! So I gently swished it around in a spiral and you were left with popping candy, pastel rainbow heaven. I love the white, silky milk like colour that was included in it too! The whole bath just looked like a rainbow had exploded!
As you can see it's full of colour and surprises and it has popping candy in it to, which makes it look so cool! It made me feel happy and energetic. I don't think this is a bath bomb you want to use if you want to properly relax. Its not properly awakening either because it hasn't got a citrus scent, but it just put me in a good mood for the day. So I think this bath bomb is the best to use on a down day, the bright colors associate with happiness and so does sweet smelling things in my opinion too, so it all goes together with the theme of happiness.
The end result (the colour of the water) was coming up quite dull on camera and I couldn't really capture it that well to be honest, but it looked so beautiful and mesmerizing! It was a dark green/blue colour (turquoise) and it was like you were in the sea. Different angles you sat/layed in the bath -the colour looked different (lighter like the sea shore, or darker like you were in the depths of the sea). This bath bomb had silver glitter in and it was like the glass-looking glitter where it looks like a rainbow in different lights and all the glitter pieces were different shapes (little dots or lines). This really fitted in with the whole rainbow theme well!
It was like the sea was mixed in with the night sky. The glitter didn't flow smoothly/at all like the other products I've used that had glitter in. It looked like the night sky because the glitter glistened and flickered in the water and when you went to swish the water around the glitter didn't really flow/move about it just stayed put and sparkled like little stars.
Thankyou for reading my post! Have a nice day!
